Sakura Succubus 2 - PS5 Platinum Review

Continue the story of an ordinary man called Hiroki, surrounded by five beautiful women who somehow find him irresistible in this visual novel with a 2 minute Platinum.

Sakura Succubus 2 continues the story of the first game, which is an adult-themed visual novel following a relatively normal and boring man called Hiroki who finds himself attracting all kinds of affection from big breasted and barely clothed women who should be well out of his league. For a basic overview of the story, please see my original Sakura Succubus Review.

The second story follows directly on from the first, introducing a few new characters - Hifumi, an incredibly famous Japanese actress and Hazel, a young up-and-coming tennis star which further complicates the love triangle pentagon!

Like the first game, it follows the standard visual novel format with a variety of settings you can change to increase the speed of the text or to allow you to skip to important choices. There are a few extra dialogue choices in this one and without tactical saves it will require 3 playthroughs to grab the Platinum, however this can still be done in around 2 minutes if you wish to skip through the game.

The Good

  • The PS4 and PS5 version are bundled together meaning two Platinum trophies are available.
  • If you want to skip the story, the Platinum can be yours in around 2 minutes!
  • The story and dialogue is well written and entertaining.
  • Nicely designed background scenery and detailed character artwork which brings the story to life.
  • New characters to discover.

The Bad

  • The dialogue choices don't have a huge impact on the outcome of the story.

Hardest Trophy

  • Green Eyed Monster - Does this count as neutral?

None of the trophies are difficult. They pretty much all unlock as you work through the different dialogue choices. Towards the end of the game there are three choices and I believe you need to select each of them once so it technically could require 3 playthroughs although I think if you made a tactical save beforehand you could finish it slightly quicker. You'll pretty much need at least 2 playthroughs anyway as there are often 2 dialogue choices which will both need to be chosen.

Helpful Tips / Bugs / Glitches / Exploits

No exploits are required. If you're looking for a fast Platinum, head into the settings before you start and copy the image below, then press R1 to skip the story. On your first playthrough always choose the first (top) dialogue option. On your second, always choose the second dialogue option. On your third, I think you can choose anything until you reach the dialogue with 3 options, then make sure you choose the last (bottom) option and if everything went right, the Platinum should pop here.

Platinum Difficulty Rating - 1/10

1/10

Get through the story and select each dialogue option once and you should be good. With the ability to fast forward the story, you can easily go through 3 playthroughs in a few minutes.

Platinum Time - 2 Minutes

Skipping the story and quickly choosing the dialogue options I mentioned in the helpful tips section above will allow you to unlock the Platinum in around 2 minutes. Playing through the story properly will obviously depend on your reading speed, but it took me somewhere around two to three hours in total.

Platinum Enjoyment Rating - 10/10

10/10
Another incredibly easy Platinum trophy (or two of them if you include the PS4 and PS5 version), continuing the entertaining story from the first game should you wish to read through it.

Overall Game Rating - 8/10

8/10
There's no actual gameplay involved as this is a visual novel - a text based story with manga artwork. The story is interesting and entertaining and although it's adult themed, the story would still be good without the lewd artwork. It's an easy Platinum too which is always good.
